Clean corn with stiff brush to remove silk. Cut corn off cob with sharp knife. Scrape the ear to remove all the milk.
Melt butter in heavy pan on low heat. Add corn, milk, and salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a low boil, stirring often as corn burns easily. Cook approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
NOTE: I prefer Silver Queen corn if available. Otherwise, any white corn will be fine.
